What is the Maize Maze?

It is a traditional Maize corn maze planted in April each year and harvested in October. The crop grows to a height of 2-3m by mid/late July when we open to the public. We did our first Maize Maze in 2003 and have done a different design and theme each year since then.

What is the Activities Maze?

The Activities Maze is a cross between a maze, adventurer playground and a wild garden, with 2.5 km of path. For more details please click here. The Activities maze was formerly known as the Adventure Maze.

Are dogs allowed in the Mazes?

Well behaved dogs are allowed on their leads

When are you open?

The Maize Mazes open during the school Summer holidays, usually from late July to early September. We open at 10:30, last admissions at 4:30 and close at 5:30.

How many mazes are there?

We make 3 maize mazes, a large one which can take around an hour to complete, a medium sized maze and a small maze which takes about 15 minutes to complete.

What is the quiz about?

Each year we have a new theme. There are multiple quiz boards throughout the mazes all based on the theme. All children receive a small prize for completing/attempting the mazes and answering the quiz questions. There is also a quiz for older children/adults to keep everybody entertained,

What clothes/footwear should we wear?

Loose comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting used or wet and please wear suitable, sturdy outdoor footwear. The earth path becomes solid and compacted and the crops suck up most of the moisture from any rain but you are walking through a field on a working farm at the end of the day.

How long does it take?

Most people spend around half a day with us or even the whole day if they bring a picnic or purchase some lunch from the on site cafe.

What other facilities do you have?

We have a cafe, picnic area for you to bring your own food and drink, toilets, ample car parking space. Plenty of space for the kids to play including with the games we provide in the courtyard.
